Welcome to my portfolio! Many of the videos below were created at the three film seminars I attended throughout high school. During the summer of 2017, I attended the New York Film Academy three week summer film program held at Harvard University and was immersed in film production. A year later I attended a two week seminar at Ringling College of the Arts where I broadened my knowledge on sound and lighting. This past summer I was fortunate enough to attend a two week Digital Media course at Marist College and received three college credits. I am extremely grateful for being given the opportunity to attend these classes as they helped expand my knowledge on film production. Below are five videos that were either made during one of these seminars, in school, or during my free time. Enjoy!
What the Garden Holds
This is where my love for filming, editing, and everything in between began. I was 11 years old when I made this film. We were at a family wedding in New York and I was bored, so I decided to make a movie with my sister. I had been making short films for several years before, but this particular one sparked something within me. The film follows a young girl who discovers the secrets that the garden holds.
We Are Women
This film is very special to me. I made it during freshman year in my first T.V. and Video Production lesson. I was the only girl in the whole class filled with upperclassman. I was so intimidated by everyone and felt extremely self conscious about sharing my films. I started wondering if I was the only girl interested in video production, which frustrated me. Inspired by the rallies I was seeing in the news, I started researching women’s movements/marches and realized I wanted to make a video on how the next generation of young girls is affected by female stereotypes. I interviewed young women in my neighborhood and edited the film in Final Cut Pro. I was so proud of my first documentary-style short film, and the message it imparts!
No Sleeping in Class!
During my sophomore year Honors Video Production course, we welcomed an enthusiastic group of students with disabilities into the class. My friend Rena was one of those students. She was so excited when she found out we had a class together and couldn’t wait to learn how to make movies. When we began to work on our first project of the year, she didn’t have a group to join, so I offered to work with her. She told me that she always wanted to be a movie star and was ecstatic when I told her I wanted her to be the lead actor in our film. We had so much fun filming all around the school and Rena especially loved dancing on table tops and on the empty stage. The film follows a girl who has a dream that she is alone in school and how she enjoys her freedom throughout the building.

I made this film at the New York Film Academy three week summer film program held at Harvard University. It was the first time I had cast actors and used professional equipment. I was the director and had a full crew working with me, making it one of the best experiences I had ever had. We started filming at 9am all around Harvard Square and didn’t stop until 3pm. The following week and a half consisted of editing, reviewing, critiquing, and more editing. I loved every moment of it. The plot is about a girl who has anxiety over meeting new friends and what others will think of her.
Celebrities Through Social Media
This past summer at the Marist College Digital Media pre-college program, we were asked to make a film that addresses how media affects some aspect of our lives. The result is this collaborative video, which explores the relationship that society has created with celebrities through social media. This project allowed me to hone my interview skills, create a script and storyboard, and edit in Adobe Premiere. At the end of the session, we presented our film to all of our peers and their families.

My Adobe Photoshop picture
I had a lot of fun while creating this photo in Adobe Photoshop. I took the background image and some of the images that are placed on top of the background. I at first wanted to create a pool-summer theme which is why there is an ice cream truck, a lemonade stand, a pool, and a lifeguard. I then decided that I wanted to get a little more funky with my image, so I added in some not so typical sights (can you find them?) Overall, I loved working with Adobe Photoshop and will definitely do it again sometime soon! All of the images were either taken from Creative Commons, Google Images (labeled for reuse with modifications), or were taken by myself!
My tour flyer for Kacey Musgraves
I absolutely love Kacey Musgraves. Just a few days ago, she released the tour dates for her Oh, what a world: tour II, so I thought I would create my own tour flyer. I took a completely different aspect on her original album cover, but still included some original aspects of the album cover. The pictures of the map were originally one image that I got off of Google Images which were labeled for reuse with modifications. I split the image into four to make the flyer look more intriguing. The background image was also found of Google Images (labeled for reuse with modifications) which I then edited in photoshop.
My Captiva Island flyer
Ever since I was years old I have been vacationing on Captiva Island in Florida. I go one week a year and I always have the time of my life. I decided to advertise this great tropical location, so I created a flyer for it in Indesign. I included my favorite pictures, restaurants and resorts–personally, I prefer ‘Tween Water’s Inn because that is where I always stay. Actually, all the pictures you see I took myself during my times there!
